Many floor cleaning and concrete polishing contractors prefer a 24” to 26” size scrubber.
The larger size of walk-behind scrubbers are usually in the 28” to 34” range. These can clean around 20k to 30k square feet per hour and work very well for larger retail, grocery and box stores, large warehouses, and airplane hangers. They cover a large area of ground quickly and have large solution and recovery tanks which will save time and trips to a water source. These machines are the best value for those with wide open floor areas.
When cleaning area is around 50k square feet or larger, consider a ride-on floor scrubber. Scrubbers clean considerably more floor per hour and operators are more likely to use the scrubber more often keeping the floor well maintained.
